The mid-morning mist in the valley muffles the sounds and softens the view from far up the mountainside. Life, for the moment, is out of sharp focus and the time is right for “chilling out.” It is, for sure, a necessary retreat from the demands of survival; it is a survival tactic in its own right. But make no mistake; The eyes and ears are nature’s best, the nose, especially attuned to the humid air, and while seemingly couched on high solid rock, the large limp paws are still quite limber. If not until the cover of night’s leap to action, this Siberian tiger’s laid-back demeanor is nonetheless ready to deliver whatever needs to be done whenever the time should arrive.
