Please take a look at this latest painting, “Rise Up, Humanity!” On the eve before this Good Friday and upcoming Easter Sunday, we are reminded of Christ’s suffering and how his death and resurrection opened up our world to a whole new spiritual awakening. As we are nearing the end of this pandemic and our current suffering, our hearts hopefully have been sensitized to the needs of our most disadvantaged that often go unnoticed in good times. While the time is near that we may take off our masks, let us at the same time take off our masks of division and superiority. How wonderful a world it could be if we all just recognize our common humanity and work and love together. As Jesus said, “truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:40
